I would rather be deaf, because I could learn to lip read!

(Would you rather have a really heavy head or antigravity arms?)

I’d rather be deaf. If you are blind, doing things by yourself would be difficult, and you wouldn’t be able to see the amazing scenery the world has to offer. Also, being a scientist would be harder, as you can’t see what you are doing to experiment.
Being deaf would also be hard, but you would still have your independence and can still work in a lab as well.

I’d rather lose my sense of smell if I had to lose anything!

Deaf definitely! For all the reasons above! 🙂

I’d rather be deaf, being blind means losing a lot more information to me than being deaf.

And as the others say, with sign language and lip reading it is possible to live normally with deafness, while those who are blind often have a much more limited experience (except Daredevil of course)
