      Hi all,

I was always interested in brain diseases as it seemed so unfair that people had to undergo such suffering without really 100% knowing what caused it and why.

I have got as far as I can into brain diseases, and I’m now at a point where I contribute to scientific understanding about these diseases and will help develop treatments for diseases like Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases!

I chose to study white blood cells, because it was my favourite topic at university. I kind of fell into studying lungs, because that was the topic of the PhD i was offered. But now I love studying them 🙂
