If we look far into the future, I don’t think medical science will stop until all diseases are gone, and people can live for as long as they choose and be as young as they like. This of course creates all sorts of issues, but without disease the human race will have a great deal more time to spend on other areas.

I think science is always advancing, in all areas, some leaps are just bigger than others! I think that if humans have enough time (and dont wipe ourselves out through climate change, nukes, etc.) then like Matt said it’s possible that all diseases could become easily treatable in the future and even ageing could be slowed! Although how that would work I dont know, we’d be defying nature, if people never died then we’d run out of water, food and other resources so I’m not sure its a good thing!

I agree, I think in the future most diseases we have now will be easily treatable. If you think back 200 years ago, we had no antibiotics, so if people got a simple infection they could die. Now, we just get some antibiotics and we are fine! We can do major long operations because we know we can give them antibiotics afterwards and they won’t get infections.

I think limb replacements are going to be really cool too. Like bionic arms, or go go gadget legs! Soon, losing a limb won’t be an issue at all, because we could control a new hand by using our brains, as if it was real. Thats really exciting!
