I am married! I got married at the end of January this year so only a few months ago. We actually met at work, she’s a radiotherapist, she’s the one that actually sets up the patients on the machine and delivers the treatment.

Because we both know so much about each others work it can be helpful sometimes, like when you’re prepping for an interview. Although if I have to visit her machine and tell her to do or not to do something I think she gets more annoyed with me than she would with any other physicist! haha. Overall though it works 🙂

Yes I am married. I met my husband when I was doing my PhD, so he was thrown in at the deep end, as I was very busy then! He has always been very supportive, and will actually ask me how much writing I have done that day to make sure I am working hard! He does not work in science (he is in IT) but he will listen to me talk about my work in the evenings, even if he only understands half of it!
I’m very lucky in that he is able to work anywhere in the country, so if my job takes us to a new city or even country, he can come with me. To be honest, if he didn’t support my job, I don’t think it would work anyway!

I’m not married! My boyfriend is an engineer, and we are both supportive of each others work. We don’t talk a lot about specifically about each others work, but we have to be supportive to each other when we both travel around and work odd hours.

I’m not married, but I met my girlfriend at the lab I work in right now, so we share a lot of interests! Working in the same lab means we understand a lot of what is going on with each other’s work so we can always support each other, I think I’ll get through my PhD thanks to her!
