      Hi Kate,

Cracking question – I personally think what with the amount of research being conducted ion human longevity we will undoubtedly one day have immortal humans or close to. However, I don’t think this will be available to everyone, as it will likely be costly, and I don’t think we have made a society yet that could handle having humans that lived forever, our resources are stretched enough as it is. For humans to live longer we would need to look at how we handle our energy and food consumption and how we look at controlling population size and all the really hard problems that kettle of fish opens up! I personally think that one day we will live forever between the stars in great arks that will carry forward our spirit of wanting to understand more forever more – or at least that’s my dream.

      Hope that helps?
