It’s the thought that the work I am doing can help people with really serious brain diseases, and if my work is successful it could improve the life of many, many thousands of people all across the world.

Some older members of my family suffer from dementia, and the idea that I could help them allows me to be all the more determined.

Its fun! Theres nothing better than doing an experiment, then just for a minute being the only person in the world that knows the thing you just worked out. And then you get to go and tell everyone what you just found out, which is great!

I also work alongside a group of fantastic people, who I love working with, and I want to support as best as I can. Not wanting to let anyone down makes you pretty dedicated!

i enjoy it! I wake up each morning and look forward to going to work, or to doing an experiment. It makes the commute and the long days worth it 🙂 Not many people can say that they love their jobs, so that is cool.

I also love that one day, my research could help people with diseases, or even cure them. it would be amazing to have such an impact on the world.
