      Haha, good question!

      Well addiction is when we crave something pleasurable because our Brain’s reward system isnt functioning as it should, I never feel rewarded when I breathe, do you? 🙂

      I like the way you think!
      Scientifically, an addiction is when you take a substance, or perform an activity (like gambling) which becomes an obsession and you cannot stop doing. However if you did stop, you would be fine and could continue living.

      Breathing is not really an addiction, because if we stopped breathing, we would die!

      It’s something that we take for granted rather than something we actively strive for, it’s the difference between needing something and wanting something. Most addictions are to substances you don’t actually need (like nicotine in cigarettes), but air is something we need to live (we’d die if we didn’t have air for even a few minutes), so the situation is different 😀
